Today is the birthday of the church. As we come to the end of the counting of the Omer, which began on the day after the Sabbath, in accordance to Leviticus 23:15-22, we end it by celebrating the day that the church was birthed, and recognizing God's plan to ultimately bring both Jew and Gentile together as one. The focus today is on ways we can observe this holy day, apart from there being a temple or a functioning levitical priesthood in place
