Table Talk: Perspectives

In this episode, we take a minute to study the name of the Father and it's relevance in the life of the believer. We have gotten so accustomed to using titles rather than His name, but should we actually use His name in prayer, or does that really matter today? Send us a text

Parasha Chukat-Balak: Numbers 19:1-25:9

Chukat (“Law Of”) opens by describing the process of burning the red heifer and using its ashes for purification. It also tells the stories of the deaths of Miriam and Aaron, Moses’ striking of a rock to bring forth water, a plague of venomous snakes, and battles against the Emorite kings Sihon and Og. Balak tells the story of the Moabite king Balak, who hires Balaam to curse the Israelites. Balaam’s donkey speaks along the way, and Balaam ends up blessing the Israelites. Send us a text

Do What Thou Wilt

In this episode, we take a look at how the culture aware is affecting the church, and how HaSatan uses it as a weapon to destroy the church. Everyone knows that YHVH has a Torah, but could it be possible that HaSatan also has one? The church has been taught that Torah, or the Law ended at the cross, but if this indeed is the case, why would HaSatan feel the need to have his own torah today? Send us a text

Parasha Korach: Numbers 16:1-18:32

In this weeks Parasha, we take a look at Korach and his rebellion against Moshe. It is so interesting how after all YHVH had done for Israel by the hand of Moshe, that the people continuously challenged and attacked him for every little thing. Moses sets an amazing example of what real leadership looks like in that when challenged, he never attacks back, understanding that if indeed YHVH has called him, and he is doing what he is being instructed, there is no need to vindicate himself because YH...

Parasha Sha'lach: Numbers 13:1-15:41

In this weeks parasha, we discuss the 12 spies who were sent to spy out the land. It was an exciting time, in that the Israelites were finally going to step into the promise that was given to the patriarchs. Although still learning what it is to trust YHVH, the people really had problems in that area, and adding to this struggle, having to deal with the negative report of 10 of the 12 spies. We also discuss the punishment for sowing seeds of discord within the community. Send us a text

Beha'alotcha: Numbers 8:1-12:16

In this weeks episode, we get into Parasha Beha'alotcha, and discuss the cleansing of the Levites, as well as their length for service in the temple. we also get into the second Passover, and why there is one. One of the most interesting aspects of this parasha is about the cloud that covered the tabernacle, and how when it moved, the people followed it whether it was day or night. We close this one out discussing YHVHs anger towards Miryam for speaking against Moses, and what we can learn from ...

Parasha Nasso: Numbers 4:21-7:89

In this weeks parasha, Moshe does a census for the Levites and based on the lineage, gives everyone their area of responsibility as it related to temple duties. Moshe also explains the laws dealing with women who have husbands that have reason to believe that their wife has been unfaithful. YHVH then gives Moshe a prayer to teach Aaron and his sons, to say over the people. This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful prayers in Torah. When done correctly, YHVH assures Moshe that He Himself ...

Undiscerning Hearts

In this episode, take a look at Romans 1, finding a contrast between the letter of the Apostle Paul to the church of Rome and the world we live in today. As Paul discusses the fall of mankind at the time of his writing, we are seeing more and more of this as being evident today than ever before. Paul points out that the problem as that as the people forget God and become unthankful, their hearts eventually become darkened. There eventually comes a point where the heart becomes dull and undiscern...

A Study On The Length Of The Ministry Of Yeshua

In this episode, we take a look at a topic that people seldom take the time to study for themselves. Most churches teach that the length of Yeshua's ministry was anywhere from three years to three and a half years, but because many are taught this as a child, the average person grows up with this teaching being a core belief. Having heard this teaching for so long, we are going to take an inn depth look into what Scripture has to say on this. We will not only look into the Bible, but we will als...

The God They Serve

This is without a doubt one of the most difficult issues I have had to tackle to date. In this episode, we address some very hard topics and expose some harsh realities connected to them. We are at a point that we as the people of YHVH must make a clear and distinct difference between that which is acceptable by YHVH and that which is not. We are called to a higher standard and as such, we must represent Him even when it is not popular to do so. Ultimately, there comes a time that we realize tha...

Bamidbar: Numbers 1:1-4:20

Bamidbar is the first parashah in the book of Numbers. As we get into this book we start off with the establishing of Israel's new army. As Moses begins to organize the people by tribes, he is instructed to not include the Levites in the count. While the other tribes are being established as the fighting force for the people, YHVH has other plans for the Levites. Remembering the promise He made to the Levites after the rallied to Moses' cry about who was on the Lord's side, He then established t...

The Re-Imaging Of The Church Series Pt 1

In this new multi episodic series, we get into various topics addressing where the church currently is, as opposed to where Yeshua intended it it be. In a world gone crazy, it is time for the church to once again be the light to the nations that it was called to be. The first century church serves as a model as to what this looks like. It was the prototype of the future Kingdom of Yeshua which is comprised of both Jew and Gentile alike. Although the Jews were YHVH's chosen people, we as non Jews...

Behar-Bechukotai: Leviticus 25:1-27:34

In this weeks episode, we complete the book of Leviticus. As we get into this parashah, we are introduced to another type of sabbath. For most, they are only aware of the weekly sabbath, but as we have learned in previous episodes, there is a sabbath week, which we are counting now as we near shavuot. We get into the yearly sabbath which leads into the Jubilee. The Jubilee is an amazing time for the people. During the Jubilee, we learn that all property is returned to its rightful owners, as all...

Putting Things Back Into Perspective

This episode is a call for us to take a closer look at some the things we have been taught, and view them through the lenses of Scripture. I believe that YHVH is calling us into a higher place in Him, but in order to get there, we need to put things back into perspective, leaving church doctrine for that of biblical doctrine. Emor: Leviticus 21:1-24:23

In this weeks episode, we discuss a few of the qualifications for the Levitical priest who served YHVH. One of the qualifications that stood out most was the prohibition on women they were forbidden to marry. Although the list of unqualified women fit to be wives for these priest were fit to be wives for the other tribes, it becomes apparent that it is about a clear distinction being made between the conduct of the priests and that of the laity. Just as there was a distinction between the Levite...

Recognizing The Works Of HaSatan

One of the topics that gets the least amount of discussion is that of Hasatan and how he operates. In fact the few churches that do take the time to address Hasatan, address him from the perspective of him causing trouble in your jobs, or even in your set aside time with the father, when the reality of it is this, causing you sickness in your body or attacking your family is the least of his concerns. His game plan is much bigger than that. If he can cause you to veer off from following YHVH, or...

Achrei Mot-Kedoshim: Leviticus 16:1-20:27

In this weeks double Parashah, we cover a myriad of controversial topics from child sacrifices to Molech to the biblical views on sexual misconduct and same sex relationships. YHVH has a lot to say on these topics, and in many places we find that He is repetitive on on His stance as it relates to them. Nonetheless, what the Scripture says is what the Scripture says, and it is our responsibility to line up with the word if we desire to be blameless in His eyes. We also get into the rules governin...

Tazria/Metzorah: Leviticus 12:1-15:33

This we discuss a very interesting topic. One of the most difficult things to grasp is the topic of dealing with leprosy and the process that has to undergone when handling these cases. Most bibles gravitate towards this skin disease as leprosy, but the problem with this definition is that the characteristics of this particular disease does not act like leprosy in any way. Contextually there is a deeper connection between the way this disease is contracted, and the fact that it can also affect c...

Shmini: Leviticus 9:1-11:47

In this Parashah, we get focus on the death of Aaron 2 sons. What exactly did they do that caused YHVH to consume them in fire. There are several different views on exactly what caused this out come, but we take a look at the two most common. Also, we dive back into the biblical diet. YHVH never gave us a reason for why He declared some things as clean and others as unclean, but he did end it by stating "I am YHVH" at the ending. We discuss possible reasons for Him telling us that certain things...

A Firstfruits Theory

In this episode we attempt to make a connection between the resurrection of Yeshua and Firstfruits. Have you ever wondered, when reading the gospel accounts of the resurrection why Yeshua hung around after He arose? According to the gospels, when He appeared before Mary Magdalene, she grabbed ahold of Him, but He insisted that she release Him since he had not yet appeared before the Father. When taking a look at these accounts from a more Hebraic perspective, there is a pretty significant gap in...

Leviticus 23

Since we are entering into the Holy Days, this weeks Torah Parashah reflects the passover, a topic we have already covered in previous Parashahs, I decided to take a different approach and get into the origins and institutions of these Holy Days. So many believers are caught up between church traditions that date back over. a thousand years to the extent that they have no idea of the difference between church tradition and biblical facts. That said, we get into the text to see what it has to say...

Tzav: Leviticus 6:1-8:36

This week, YHVH instructs Moses to anoint the Tabernacle, Aaron and his sons for Temple service. YHVH teaches Moses about the various sacrifices that are to be done, and how they are to be conducted. We dig into these sacrifices from the Hebrew perspective, and explain them in more detail. For those who are only familiar just the sin sacrifice, this will be quite eye opening for you.
